State Library of South Australia

The State Library of South Australia has a long and proud tradition of connecting people with the knowledge they need about our State and the world. That world is changing rapidly and new ways of doing things are needed if we are to keep faith with that tradition and ensure every South Australian has the knowledge and skills to participate in a deeply integrated world.

The library provides access to many different eresources. Although you don't need your library card to access eResources whilst you are in the library building, it is essential for accessing them when you are at home.

If you are a South Australia resident and would like to access eresources from home, you will need to become a library member. Register online to have your membership information posted to you or visit the library and collect your library card in person.

Acknowledgment of Country
National and State Libraries Australia acknowledges Australia’s First Nations Peoples - the First Australians - as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the lands on which our nine libraries do their daily work, preserving and sharing our heritage. We give respect to the Elders past and present, and through them to all Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
