State Library of Queensland

State Library of Queensland logo

State Library of Queensland plays a lead role in serving all Queenslanders, through state-wide library services and partnerships with over 340 public libraries, including 23 Indigenous Knowledge Centres (IKCs). SLQ is a ‘knowledge bank’ and vital community resource, as much a physical as well as a virtual place for sharing, learning, collaborating, and creation. As a community hub for democracy in action, here everyone is encouraged to have a voice.

The library provides access to many different eResources. Although you don't need your library card to access eResources whilst you are in the library building, it is essential for accessing them when you are at home.

If you are a Queensland resident and would like to access eResources from home, you will need to become a library member. Register online to have your membership information posted to you or visit the library and collect your library card in person.
